Welcome to Frame of Mind

We Are here to offer you original, fun and stylish ideas to make your gift shopping easier. We’ve been busy at Frame of Mind, in Ilminster deep in the heart of Somerset since opening our first store in 1994, where to begin with, we offered picture framing in the back half of the shop, and sold gifts and cards in the front half. December 2005 saw the Wellington shop open. The business had already expanded some time before that, when the picture framing department was moved to its own premises in Ilminster, in order to expand the product range offered in our main store. We now have 2 stores, each with their own individual style, and also the gallery (www.silverstreetgallery) where we offer limited edition prints, and have built up a reputation as one of the area's leading contemporary galleries. We’re passionate about keeping local high streets alive, and choose to shop with independent suppliers wherever possible. It’s individual businesses that keep rural towns flourishing - and we hope that Frame of Mind makes a contribution to the vibrant atmosphere in Ilminster and Wellington.

Frame of Mind remains an independent, family run, business. We're two brothers, and work closely with an energetic team who help us with the jewellery, handbags etc (thanks girls), to offer a personal service characterised by an awareness of current trends, individuality, creativity and enthusiasm. We are stockists for Emma Bridgewater Pottery, Konplott Jewellery, Rice, plus Koziol to name a few(and Fatboy - which you can find in the gallery and are unfortunately too large to post! The Fatboy Original is the friendliest, oversize beanbag you've ever seen).

Filled with our favourite finds from home and abroad, from kitchen accessories and cool gizmos and gadgets, rainy day pocket money presents to designer costume jewellery and handbags, much of our selection is practical and there is often a mixture of humour and imagination. So, from cool, unusual gifts which are also useful, to a new handbag which you just can't live without – our stores are filled with products we are proud to stock, and think you’ll love too!
